Senior Crowned Gopher Classic Bloomington Site Champion

Bloomington Senior won the site championship of the 2021 Gopher Classic Tournament by going 4 and 1 in the 5 game pool play advancing to the Round of 16. Senior out scored their opponents 20 runs to 8 in pool play.

In the Round of 16 Bloomington won their game against Hopkins 11 to 3 in 5 innings to advance to the quarter finals. Unfortunately they were defeated 10 to 6 by Mankato National in a heavy hitting high scoring game. Mankato National went on to win the championship game the following day.

Great weekend of baseball, boys! Now onto the playoffs!

Senior Blue Wins 2021 Wood Bat Championship

The Senior Blue team took the championship at the 2021 Red Haddox Senior Legion Wood Bat Tournament with a 2-0 win over Prior Lake. Mother nature unfortunately shortened the game to 5 innings but it was a regulation game by the rule book. The team outscored their opponents in the three pool games 45 to 7 with all three victories being by 10 runs. Congratulations gentlemen on a job well done!!

Congratulations also to David Steffen for being awarded the tournament MVP! David batted .500, hit an in-the-park home run and pitched a shut-out over the weekend.

Junior Blue Takes Wood Bat Tournament Championship

Congratulations to the Junior Blue team for winning the championship in the 2021 Red Haddox Junior Legion Wood Bat Tournament by defeating Highland Park 13-7! Job well done, boys!

Congratulations also to the Junior Gold team for taking 3rd by defeating Buffalo 10-2!

And although they didn't get a win, Blue II fought hard all weekend! Great job, boys!

A special congrats to JD Coady for being awarded the tournament MVP! JD batted .667 with 4 tripples over the weekend.
